And then do that annoying, I’m going to fake-air-drum during my rest so you know I have a really cool song on my headphones right now. Really? Other people are watching, you know. Gross. So I stuck to the roads, which were long, empty, and snowy. I didn’t train like I should have near the end, because honestly, there were some days where there was just no way I could get through that snow for a run. I did get a few 20+ runs in, and I figured if I could do that, I could add the extra six in Florida.

For anyone interested in a first marathon, or any marathon really, Disney is one to try. There are so many people cheering you on at every turn. There are characters dressed in running gear, there are Disney cast members lining the streets, there are marching bands, there are choirs, there are fireworks…it’s awesome. One of the highlights was running through the Magic Kingdom.
