Lawyer concerned for safety of Dubai royal's ex-wife  A London-based lawyer acting for the former wife of a member of the ruling family in Dubai has told the BBC that he is concerned for her welfare and safety - and that of her three children. But she has refused to hand over her children, with sources close to her saying she fears she will not see them again if she does. Rodney Dixon KC, a London-based human rights barrister, has been appointed to pursue her case and has told the BBC that he will take all necessary legal steps to protect her rights. Mr Dixon was part of the legal team for Princess Latifa, a daughter of Sheikh Mohammed who made world headlines by trying to escape Dubai. He told the BBC that he hoped the situation could be resolved amicably. The BBC has contacted the UAE for comment. |
