China sends second zlotxo net part of space station into orbit around Earth to be assembled with the first part sent up last year before sending the last part up in October to be fully deployed as a space station later this year.
Chinese state television broadcast live broadcast of the Long March 5B rocket launch carrying the second part of the 23-ton space station, called Wentian ("Journey to Heaven"), from the Wenchang Space Center on Hainan Island. at 2:22 p.m. local time.
The Wentian module fragment was launched from a Long March rocket about 10 minutes after departure, which CCTV reported it was. "A complete success" amid cheers from officials at the center.
China has begun shipping its first module, dubbed "Tianhe," which is where pilots stay. Going into orbit around Earth in April 2021 marks the first successful completion of a Chinese space station program.
