We are a German group of friends of Russian horses. We are looking for German or English speaking people to get more informations about russian horses (especially Budjonny) and Russian stud farms. We are looking for friends to travel in the Don area and Southern Russia to visit stud farms and horse exhibitions and to visit each other. Sonja |

Hello, nice to see you here! It is summer now, everyone is on vacation, so it is a bit quiet here. I will be glad to answer your questions. And there also are people who can arrange for a trip to the stud farms. Unfortunatelly, there won't be any horse exhibition in the South of Russia this year, but there definitely will be one next year at the end of September. This exhibition is a great opportunity to see the best Budjonny and Don horses, so I strongly recommend that you plan a visit :) By the way, Don and Budjonny horses will be in Germany for a cople of days soon on their way to Paris. They are doing the endurance ride in the memory of all the soldiers who participated in the Napoleonic war in 1812-1814. Dear Sonja, I got hold of the person, who is coordinating Don and Budjonny horses endurance ride in Germany. The meeting with them will most likely take place in Leipzig around September 18-19 (both date and place will be confirmed in the middle of next week). Hallo, thank you very much for your answers.I am really happy to get these answers from Russia. In Germany some Russian horses exist, but they are very few compared to other types. Budjonnies are not well known an for me it was impossible to get a stallion for my Budjonny mare. We are here a few people and want to make the Budjonnies better known but it is quite difficult because there exist only that few horses. Now there is this ride from Moscow to Paris which is also passing through Germany and we would be happy to get into contact. Could you give us some more informations? Where are they at the moment? Hello, Sonja, So you are the lucky owner of Budjonny horse! Congratulations! :) We have a Private Owners' section in this forum on http://offtop.ru/donchak/19.php (subject of each topic is the name of the horse). It would be great if you tell us about your mare. What is her name, date of birth, parents? What does she do? And some photos will be great to! We are very glad to hear from Budjonny horses' fans from abroad!
