The 4th International Johannes Brahms Chamber Music Competition is to be held in Gdańsk, April 9-13, 2006 2. The competition shall be divided into 3 categories. A category: trios – violin, cello, piano B category: trios – clarinet, cello, piano C category: quartets – violin, viola, cello, piano 3. The competition shall consist of two rounds. 4. The ensembles’ performance shall be judged by the international jury, whose members are famous chamber musicians. 5. Prizes: 1 Prize 4000 PLN (for each musician in an ensemble) 2 Prize 2500 PLN (for each musician in an ensemble) 2 Prize 1500 PLN (for each musician in an ensemble) two distinctions 500 PLN (for each musician in an ensemble) The “Haffner-Wettstein” 1000 US$ for the best ensemble from award Gdańsk or from Luzern The best performance of Johannes Brahms’ composition would be specially awarded with the International Johannes Brahms Society from Hamburg and awards as concert contracts with: Polska Filharmonia Bałtycka Filharmonia Olsztyńska Musica nos unit SPAM Gdańska Wiosna 6. All the second round participants will be given with diplomas of honour. 7. The Jury has the right to grant the participants in another way. All decisions of the Jury are final and are not subject to question, review or appeal. 8. Prize-winners are due to take part in gala performance free. There are radio and tv records scheduled during the Competition rounds not as a subject of fee. 9. The Competition is open to the musicians born after April 9, 1976. 10. The order of the performances will be determined by lot. 11. To qualify for admission to the Competition contestants must send an application form. Along with it the contestants must enclose a copy of enrollment fee receipt until January 9, 2006 and sent 12. The enrollment fee is 30 US$ (for each musician in an ensemble) 13. The enrollment fee is not to repay in case of quitting. 14. Housing will be reserved for all contestants during their participation at the competition. 15. The repertoire requirements.
